Happy Earth Day! To celebrate we are recalling one of our favorite “earth-covered” projects. The New School University Center in the heart of Manhattan designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) was completed in 2014 with a true commitment to conscious environmental impact.

Parsons School of Design at The New School

Pascale Gatzen, professor at Parsons The New School for Design, is facilitating a research workshop with the students of the Master des Métiers de la Mode et du Textile of the Aix Marseille University. This research group formed by the students contributes to the detection and definition of new, innovative and viable business models for the apparel and textile industry. Students coming from other universities and the mentoring program participants are invited to join this workshop.

At Parsons, we value diversity in our students, faculty, and staff. The growing international population is an important part of that diversity.

It was so Lovely to be a Juror for the Parsons School of Design and participate in the BFA Thesis review panel. The student's presentations were Exquisite and Magical! "The thesis is the capstone experience within a 4-year degree program in Fashion Design at Parsons. Seniors at Parson are encouraged to explore their own artistic vision, establish their individual voice as a designer and create their own visual aesthetic."
