It's the Canadian Pottery Throwdown Finale! Let me tell you I was FREAKING out when I found out the challenge prompt, because it's the exact same prompt that was the very first British Pottery Throwdown episode I made last year! I was so excited to recreate this teaset challenge because I wanted to do it BETTER. And let me tell you, I was very pleased with the results :) Pottery Tutorials, Ceramic Forms, Pottery Videos, Garden Pottery, Do It Better, Free Tutorial, Pottery Ideas, The Challenge, Ceramic Pottery

After weeks of making small intricate pieces it can be challenging to loosen up and jump so drastically in process and material. I've been drawing and making some smaller pinched pieces to jump start the process and it's been a great excercise to get my creativity flowing in new directions.

Ashley Bergeron on Instagram: "Getting to share my pour overs has been such a joy. I use mine every morning, and they've finally caught on at the market. Some people don't know what it is, they think it's a planter or weird cup you have to drink really fast. 😂 but this last Saturday I sold all but one. For something that's very difficult to throw, I appreciate that validation. It's funny how difficulty doesn't always translate to demand. We, sellers, want that to be true.

A pour over is a lovely little coffee making device. You set it atop your mug, line it with a coffee filter, and fill with ground coffee. Then slowly pour hot water until your mug is full.

Throwing this form is challenging because of the narrow neck and wide top. You end up with a lot of torque that can send wobbles Pottery Coffee Pour Over, Coffee Filter Ceramic, Coffee Filter, Coffee Grounds, Some People, Hot Water, Pottery Art, Things To Think About, Canning
