This is my very first rag purse. I've made lots and lots of rag quilts (I worked for a lady in Indiana who sold them at flee markets and such), but never a rag purse. This purse is actually reversible, if you're not feeling like a country girl today, you can reverse it for a "classier" look! RAG QUILT PURSE You will need: 14 6-inch squares of flannel for outside of purse 14 6-inch squares of flannel for inside of purse 14 5-inch squares of batting (I used Warm and Natural) 6 strips of flannel (2" x 26") for the straps. 2 of the strips will be the middle layer of the straps. 1. Lay out your squares in the design you want. Do this for the outside of the purse and the inside. Pair up the squares from outside and inside, with a layer of batting in the middle. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY ... it's our annual MI Mingle where all our SCS buddies from MI get together and stamp for 2 days! It's bliss!
