Thank you!❤️ I used my carbide scraper to get the majority of the finish off, which saved me a lot of time when it came to sanding. Then, I used 120 grit to sand the whole thing down. This wood had some red undertones so I used a little bit of sage green paint mixed with tan paint (50/50 water and paint), brushed it on, then wiped it off immediately. As a final step I used @varathane water-based poly in satin using a stain pad applicator and TA-DA! Navy Meets Natural Dresser | General Finishes 2018 Design Challenge

This beautiful dresser made by Kindel was the top of the line in the early to mid twentieth century. We have given it an update by painting the case in a custom union blue mix, then topcoated it and created a custom glaze with mineral spirits and black wax to give the body depth and a richer darkness. The drawers were left in their natural state and cleaned and then polished with ground pumice, rottenstone and parafin oil to really show off the original beautiful finish.
