As we entered the 60's we also entered the "Space Age" and so too did the styling of our bicycles. The JC Higgins Flightliner gives us a glimpse of what to expect out of early 60's bicycles. This bike features lighted horn tank, springer fork, rear carrier with tail light, and chrome fenders.

Although Mid Level, The Extra Paint often led to a More Classic Look. I Find The Mid Level bikes to be more Captivating then the high end Phantoms and Panther Bicycles. This Bike Is a Deluxe Hornet having a Horn in the Tank, Struts, Delta Rocket Ray Light, Deluxe Reflector, and White wall Tires.

This 1954 Shelby 52a Deluxe Ballooner Bicycle has beautiful Style, lots of Chrome, and all The Deluxe Features. The 52a was Shelby's Top of The Line Postwar Ballooner Bicycle and was Designed to Go head to head with and rival Sales away from the Popular Schwinn Phantom Ballooner Bike. This Particular Shelby 52a is a bike from the period that AMF owned and CWC manufactured the Shelby Bicycle. The 52a is one of my Favorite bikes blending Beauty and style, that is unmatched.
