i’m always behind on checking stuff out, in nitw’s case i’m 7 years behind! i know it’d be right up my alley but i’m uhhh procrastinator
next on my list is mouthwashing because i know i’d love that too and it came out recently so maybe i can understand all the cool art i’ve seen of it. but after that maybe nitw….i do like the character design

how do u do that sketchy effect when filling in black colours? fill with white then etch with black? or fill with black then add a little bit of white?
realised i never responded to this sorry! it’s mostly just etching in black with a pencil-y textured brush, but i’ll erase away sometimes too - it makes a different effect, idk i just mess around……my process is never set i wing it every time

you have some of the most creative monster designs i've seen, they're the type of characters that give me the feeling there's an entire world/story behind them. i especially love the earthly demons, their lore/designs are incredibly unique.
auuuuu thank you…could cry 🥺 big compliment to me, I love making characters that feel grounded in some sort of context specific to them… i tend to imagine whole worlds for even my more minor characters not intended to have character/ story arcs - can’t have an oc without vague story/context, I quickly lose interest in designs without lore so everything you see has some sort of convoluted thought process behind it. even the sillies like wellyboot and HRL.
i want to do a zine with the earthly demons/fest kids at some point, that’s on my list of thngs to do - lots of ideas buzzing in my head at the moment, it’s killing me not to be able to do all of them…. anyway, i’m glad you like them!

In the furry au are Mockley and Coltarch just themselves or do they have their own fursonas that are completely different from the animals that they already are
they have fursonas! <:^) though i do like the idea of furries existing alongside weird dinosaurs
here’s some little portrait sketches. moose coltarch and badger mockley
still not completely sold on coltarch being a moose, might make him an adder. but mockley’s a badger for sure, even though owl/squirrel/hare were tempting. i want them to all be cute fairytale woodland critters together, to match the fox/pheasant thing mika and heidi have going on….beatrix potter type animals just spiritually and mentally ripping each other to shreds. and also physically
