Information Systems (ESRI ArcGIS) with Community Mapping to examine how the communities perceived, experienced, and valued the landscape of the areas. The surveys applied Geo-location to Community Mapping using ESRI Survey123 and complied with some information and opinions (PhotoVoice) from the communities at the 632 locations. The researchers analyzed the intensity of the values and importances of each type of food security cultural landscape. The study found that the cultural landscape in the Bangpakong River Deltas has been valued and recognized by the communities who live their lives and rely on the agriculture, aquaculture, and ecological services of the areas. The future urban expansion and industrial development should be concerned and encouraged to forecast the future risks.

This paper aims to find an efficient and practical mitigation to balance the purposes between industrial port and protection of surrounded communities and natural resources. The author will apply physical design and planning such as the applications of “buffer zone”, “green belt”, “set-back”, “green corridor”, “green wall”, “protection strip”, and combined with environmental measurements like Air Pollution Tolerance Index–APTI, which can be adapted for pollution protection as landscape architectural best practice.
Keywords: urban environment; environmental measurement; air quality; physiological response; landscape architecture; eco-industrial Town; buffer; pollution protection; landscape indicator; tolerance index
The National Policies seem to support investment and regulate only to what extremely affect to environment. In some cases of declaring the pollution control zones, it is the end of the pipe solution. Many terms and solutions have been introduced from key actors such as the applications of “buffer zone”, “green belt”, “set-back”, “green corridor”, “green wall”, and “protection strip”, but the mitigations proceed tardily and the effects are unable to be cured promptly and even impossible to be cured.
This talk aims to find an efficient and practical mitigation to balance the purposes between industrial port and protection of surrounded communities and natural resources. The speaker will investigate the upstream source or the start of the pipe, then apply landscape indicator like Air Pollution Tolerance Index–APTI. The assumption is tolerance in plants : tolerant, intermediate, sensitive, and very sensitive , can be adapted for pollution protection as landscape architectural best practice.
