The most popular way to reach there is to kayak downriver from Banbury Hot Springs. It’s a 3 miles round trip and takes around 2 hours. I’ve seen this blue water all over Instagram & YouTube but I never saw anyone with young kiddos show what the trip was like…

So we took a chance and it was awesome, here’s what you need to know…

We parked at Blue Heart Kayaking because it’s the shortest distance to Blue Heart Springs. It’s only about 20-30 minutes down the Snake River to the springs and about 30-40 minutes back up the Snake River to Blue Heart Kayaking.

They’re only open until September 30th so you still have a few weeks left!

The other option is Banbury Hot Springs a little further up the river and they’re open year round BUT the paddle is much long based on my research so not ideal with little squirmy kiddos that want snacks.

We self launched our paddle board Montana Western, Idaho Hot Springs, Idaho Vacation, Long Weekend Trips, Road Trip Camping, Rv Trips, Adventure Guide, Twin Falls, Paddle Boards

I found a spectacular spot today in Idaho, it’s called a blue Heart Springs and it’s something I’ve never experienced before. It was formed by a whirlpool caused by a flood 1500 years ago and now water bubbles from the earth to fill this spring with blue and very clear water. I had an amazing morning, I set off on my SUP at about 9am and made it to the hot springs by 10am after accidently passing right by them (until the sun comes out you can’t even see how blue they are). But once the sun ... Water Bubbles, Blue Heart, Hot Springs, Clear Water, Idaho, The Earth, Springs, The Sun, Bubbles
