I used an affordable bamboo bath mat from Amazon to give the door fronts a fluted look ➡️ I took off the fabric edges and backing, cut them to size, and used all-purpose adhesive to adhere it. (Thank you @diybydeebs for the brilliant idea!) Next came the painting ➡️ 2 coats of shellac based primer from @zinsser then 2 coats of high quality cabinet/trim paint. It’s super important to use shellac-based primer when painting any Ikea furniture!! I lightly sanded with 320 grit sandpaper in between all coats to get the smoothest finish.
