If so, this might be a great activity for you! 🤗 Students write a message sharing something they want you to know before the first day! In the past, my students have shared interests, what they’ve done over the summer, and how they’re feeling about a new year in a new classroom (I especially love knowing which students are feeling nervous—this helps me be extra aware that first day). I gather all my responses in a box I repurposed from @michaelsstores (it’s a decorative box I got super on sale from their seasonal section) and add a note to students put in a @dollartree frame.
