Annie Stafford - Learn to sew on Instagram: "❗️This is my most requested sewing hack ❗️ By pinching the top thread as you sew, this causes the fabric to gather up behind the sewing machine foot to make for perfect gatehring everytime. 🦋 Thread up you machine as normal Pull both top thread and bobbin thread to the back, make sure to leave a long tail. This will come in handy latter when you are attaching the gathering to your sewing project and you want to increase or decrease the gathers. 🦋 Increase the stitch length to the highest number, mine goes up to 4.
