I'm trying to read all I can on henna-ing my hair; I have some henna on the way and have been collecting stray hairs up for a strand test. However I'm starting to think much of the advice about achieving vibrant reds or fearing a too-orange result won't apply to me, as I have dark brown hair (with a smattering of greys, which is the reason for wanting to colour). Therefore, should I safely assume that red tones or a mere hint of red in the sunlight is the best I can hope for? I don't

Works fairly quickly to remove henna resin if henna buildup has loosened your curl too much (took me 3 weeks of twice weekly pre-pooing sessions lasting @ least 12 hours to get my curl back) or if henna is too dark. However, henna will continue to oxidize and darken. Repeat periodically. Note: Will NOT remove henna entirely as it is permanent.
