My first batch of RISO -printed cards have been delivered! I’ve done a bit of RISO printing before but never ordered any. Not knowing exactly how bright each colour would turn out, there was a bit of guesswork involved which is nerve wracking when ordering a lot. I’m used to being able to test print everything! I just wrapped the install of some artwork that featured onsite screen printing on the wall around the piece - totally psyched on the process!

During this workshop we will play with paper, ink and shapes. No print is the same, hence the term Monoprint! We'll start creating shapes (tearing and / or cutting) with paper, put these shapes under the screen, so that these shapes become, as it were, the template we're going to screenprint.

Something In The Way. Testing out some colour combinations in the print room last week. I accidentally ordered a different paper than I’d planned on this one so ended up winging it with the ink. This one is Colorplan pistachio with white and neon red. The layers are defo subtler than I wanted but there’s something quite nice about noticing the white layer after a minute.
