Orographic Lift: forced lifting along a topographic barrier; horizontally moving air when meeting a large obstacle, will go over it; lifting produces cooling & if air is humid, clouds form: orographic clouds; type of cloud depends on the air's stability & moisture content; on the leeward side (downwind), as the air moves downhill, it warms

There are three major types of rainfall at different parts of the World and these are:

Precipitation: Water that falls to Earth in any form, like rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
