Florida's Fort Pickens, built in the early 1800's has many beautiful archways and interesting rooms. The fort itself, was built as one of three forts in the area to guard against British invasions. Many of the arches in the fort were constructed using a reverse arch technique. The reverse arches are mostly in the ground but can be seen in sections of the fort with serious eroson.
