i like meg 1.0 as a villian and i appreciated how the ersatz father-daughter relationship she had with azazel in s1 helped reinforce the themes of the show. i also enjoyed how evil she was in Born Under A Bad Sign (lowkey one of my fave s2 eps) and while i am broadly a meg 2.0 hater i still liked how they wrote her as someone who lost one father figure and chose lucifer to be another bc hashtag daddy issues the show etc

that said. she sexually assaulted sam AND dean AND jo (using sam’s body). for that reason i will always hate that the show made her into a begrudging frenemy and i HATEEEEEE like foaming at the mouth hate that she’s one of the few characters cas gets to have a relationship with outside of the winchesters. there’s not a single fucking thing post-kripke era meg could’ve done that wouldn’t have been done better with demon bela. get her ass out of here!!!!

it doesn’t help that there’s this subgenre of cas girl who hate dean/salmondean for being so very mean to cas but are still fans of meg/m*gstiel which feels a little… how can i put this.
