Hi all! April’s coming around and I’ve managed to safely keep me and my partner housed for April. I’ve been suffering from sever burnout and my mental illnesses make it difficult for me to work in normal situations. I’ve already almost been hospitalized twice for mental health issues while going to a normal job. I use food stamps and public health care in my state to keep myself up to date with food and everything.
I use money from my college to supplement us while I am working towards my degree. It pays for a good amount of our rent and necessities but since I was late with March rent last month, I only have half of my rent for May. If I’m given a second eviction notice my lease will be terminated and me and my partner and pets will be homeless.
To prevent this, I have have half of my rent already saved up from previous months of savings and school money. I do need $500 to cover the second half of it.

Sevika hesitates a little longer than she should outside the door of April’s apartment. Already this feels odd. If she wants to visit, she’d just enter through the shop’s main entrance. Nine times out of ten April would be there even if it’s after hours.
But it’s not just the location that feels odd. It’s this sense of anticipation and nervousness that’s settled in her chest. The same mix of emotions that she felt as a teenager going on dates for the first time. She honestly thought she couldn’t feel like this anymore.
Yet something about April has her back to that lovestruck teenager phase, which should be ridiculous… but it makes a lot of sense. She doesn’t want to mess this up.
