I received the new Halloween 2021 set of watercolors from IUILE last week–what gorgeous colors! I wanted to try them out on black watercolor paper, and ended up painting some leaves. I loved how it looked so much, that I stamped a greeting and white heat embossed it, and adhered it to a card base.

My name is Kay Lee. I’m Malaysian. I use a white pencil to capture light and expression on black paper. I especially like to picture artwork in a “low-key” mode, contrast, and dramatic lighting effect, with lots of shadows. It gives depth, mood, feeling, and emotion, with a quiet and mysterious atmosphere.
