Quilts don't get much easier to make than when one uses a block with only three pieces. Carol A Ashley, AllThatPatchwork. The design is "original" but is so easy that I'm sure dozens, perhaps hundreds of others have done something similar. So feel free to copy. This is a scrap version of the computer-illustrated two-color quilt design shown here: www.flickr.com/photos/allthatpatchwork/6936464405/ I make a lot of charity quilts from L-block designs, as they are so quick and simple to do. This one requires 48 L-blocks, half with the square being light and the two rectangles dark. The remaining 24 blocks have these colors reversed. Wild Thing

It's that time of year again when the weather gets hot and the kids head back to college. First year of grad school for the boy and second year of college for the girl. I'm handling it much better this year since I've gotten used to having an empty nest at one point or another.
