Sophie Higgs on Instagram: "Stairs Panelling🤍 A few tips on how we carried the panelling in our hallway up the stairs. Swipe along to see ➡️ To get the line for the dado rail on the stairs we put wall tacks at the bottom and top of the stairs, the height we wanted the dado rail 1000mm from the floor. Then we got a piece of string, coloured it one side with blue chalk, held the string tight on top of the tacks, (chalk side facing the wall with one person holding it at the bottom of the stairs and one person at the top. You’ll then have a straight chalk line all the way down the stairs wall to attach the dado to. Very hi-tech hey?! 🤣 It would be much easier with a laser level but we don’t have one! For the angles of the dado rail and the moulding for the panelling I’d really recommend get Hallway With Dado Rail, Hallway Dado Rail, Hall Stairs And Landing Panelling, Dado Rail Hallway, Stair Panelling, Room Panelling, Hallway Panelling, Wallpaper Hallway, Stair Paneling

It’s such a cost effective way to completely transform a room. We decided on white paint for the panelling and then painted the top half of the walls the perfect neutral shade

What are your thoughts on panelling do you think it’s here to stay? I love it I’m about to try ship lap panelling in my little girl, Darcie’s new bedroom
