Description
English: American assault troops Troops in an LCVP landing craft approaching "Omaha" Beach on "D-Day", 6 June 1944. The smoke in the background is from supporting naval gunfire. Note helmet netting; faint "No Smoking" sign on the LCVP's ramp; and M1903 rifles and M1 carbines carried by some of these men.
