Austin Maestro

Thank you for your attentions to this image. Little by little it is becoming quite respectable. (Which I think maybe it wasn't when first I uploaded it.) Now it is getting clearer I spot the dust on the windscreen: but I'm becoming more confident about removing little specs like this for myself, if you don't have the available time. Have a good day. Regards Charles01 (talk) 05:32, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Glad the changes were okay. I hadn't noticed the specks on the windscreen at the normal scale to be honest. All the best, Ubcule (talk) 21:11, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=en&tl=nl&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcommons.wikimedia.org%2Fwiki%2FUser_talk%3ASpotter2
http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=en&tl=nl&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FWikipedia%3ANon-free_content
Ubcule (talk) 21:00, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"die Wehrmacht 1940 and 1941" photos ?

Hello Ubcule ! Since I don't wan't to upload any more picures that contradics any copyright (like the vinyl LP's of Allman Brothers Band, Steppenfolf - For Ladies only etc, and some TV-shots) , I now will ask You before doubtful copyrights. I have in my possetion two German books printed in Berlin 1940 and 1941, they are called "die Wehrmacht 1940" (covering "the war year" 1939-40) and a simular of the following year. These were actually sold in Sweden (untranslated) during the first years of thewar. Question is if f.i. a picture with (only) Hitler and Walther von Brauchitsch looking at some maps can be upoaded. And in this case the German text would be of sourceful use. It simply states "Die Oberste Befehlshaber der Wehrmacht mit dem Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres Gerneralfeldmarschall von Brauchitsch". Or something like "The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces (die Wehrmacht) with the Supreme Commander of |the Army/all Armies| Fieldmarshal von Brauchitsch. So my question is, can this picture be uploaded with or without it's German text.(if at all) ? And what about photos of the books frontsides? best reguards Boeing720 (talk) 09:11, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again,
I knew that the pictures you uploaded previously (1970s albums and 1990s TV screenshots) would still be copyrighted, so it was easy for me to provide that advice.
However, I am not so sure about WWII-era photographs, such as the ones you describe. Therefore, I have passed the question on to the Commons Helpdesk. You should check that page to see if someone replies.
Hopefully, someone who is experienced in this area will be able to help you.
All the best, Ubcule (talk) 23:22, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK I understand. And thanks for passing on my question to correct site, I'm - as You may guess, not very familiar with Commons. You have though helped me understand main principles and differencies between Commons and f.i. English Wiki uploads etc. I appriciate Your work. Best reguards Boeing720 (talk) 23:12, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! If you have any questions like that, the helpdesk is normally the best place to ask. All the best, Ubcule (talk) 13:15, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

i dunno who put this gibberish on your wicki wazunt em — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.41.240.15 (talk • contribs)

I was going to say that you should leave a comment on the original uploader's talk page, as that person appears to be the original photographer. However, I notice that you've done this anyway.
I'd recommend that you wait a month or two and see if you get a response. Alternatively, you could post a comment on a Sam Coupe fan site, and you'd probably get some feedback.
I can't help you, as I'm just some random guy that doesn't know much about the Sam Coupe beyond what I read on Wikipedia. I came across the photo and brightened it (without making any other changes). Sorry! Ubcule (talk) 19:11, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Zombie Images!

Greetings! To let you know, images you nominated for deletion a long time ago have risen like zombies from the tomb.... see for links.[2]. Your original request is available both in the files [3] and on the talk page of the uploader [4]. Apparently the new uploader is a bit upset by the nomination and claims that these photos have never been uploaded to the project before! Cheers! Ellin Beltz (talk) 01:20, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for drawing my attention to this. I don't recognise all the images, so I don't know whether those are the same ones I nominated back then or not. I'll contribute to the nominations anyway. Ubcule (talk) 22:53, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing licenses from Flickr and other places

Hello, Ubcule. Could you please refrain from reviewing any licenses until you have been confirmed as a trusted user? You can ask for permission here: Commons:License review/requests. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 03:00, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry; I misread the file history. I freely admit I go too quickly sometimes. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 03:02, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please let me know which file you were referring to anyway? Thank you. Ubcule (talk) 21:49, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
