Lawless fan

[edit]
[edit]

Rationale

[edit]
  • Reason: This appears to be a sockpuppet created in order to avoid scrutiny. This user received a last warning on his/her main account: User_talk:Lawless_fan#No_more_copyvios and has not edited since. XeniteBrazil came along about a month later: both users speak Portuguese, have shown interest in Lucy Lawless, and have uploaded Image:Renee O'Connor.jpg. XeniteBrazil appears to have created a flickr account with false claims in order to avoid copyvio warnings: [1]. I ask an administrator to block if the checkuser comes back positive.Patstuart (talk) 19:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I understand how you got to this & don't disagree but probably Unrelated. Worth watching though, thanks --Herby talk thyme 19:27, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hmm. I'm not hugely surprised, but I am a little surprised. Thanks. Patstuart (talk) 19:30, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wait, could you possibly double-check that data? Xenite gives his/her en account as (note the similarity in username to the first), which was blocked under very similar circumstances at en:Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Tarja Lawless, and has also uploaded more similar pictures than I originally thought (note the blue-links in [2], all from Xenite's uploads). I'm not sure this isn't a duck case. Patstuart (talk) 19:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • I'll not recheck as my short term memory ain't that bad but maybe prod Lar - that way you'd get the cross wiki info that may be worthwhile. I stress I think the check was valid & would have been one I might well have carried out anyway (I have been known to look if behaviour pointed that way!). The other side of course is that if it looks like a duck....... cu may not be the issue :) --Herby talk thyme 19:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
