Oktober 1944) war ein deutscher Generalfeldmarschall und Befehlshaber der deutschen Truppen in Nordafrika (Afrikakorps) während des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Auf seinem Afrikafeldzug erhielt er von den Briten den Beinamen Desert Fox (Wüstenfuchs).
