What d'ye think of that? It's a small levels tweak - blackpoint, white point, midpoint - but I think it's a bit of an improvement. Don't feel bound by it, though. Feel free to do your own, or keep as things are now. Adam Cuerden (talk) 03:28, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rotating famous upside down head

Hi, you requested to have my picture of a famous Medusa head in the Yerebatan cistern, i.e. “Yerebatan 1091.jpg” to be rotated. This morning I was warned such a thing had been done. I saw the result, as well as what it looks like now in the English Wikipedia article about Medusa.

It may be nice for people who are too lazy to turn a picture and want to see Medusa in the face, but the effect is twofoldː there now is, in the category "Upside down Gorgoneion in the Basilica Cistern" one picture that is not upside down, and you have managed to revert history in an ancient part of Istanbul that many people will have fond memories of.

So I requested the picture to be rotated again, and now hope you'll refrain from doing this with any of my pictures in the future. I’m very careful with my pictures and perfectly able to decide what is their right position myself (and my cameras record it themselves in the exif files, in this case it was Horizontal (normal)). If I had thought it necessary to help people see the statue in the natural position I would have indicated they were looking at a rotated picture, and would probably have given both positions, explaining which was the true one. Nepal Emblem

Hello, I noticed that you updated the map to reflect the disputed areas of Nepal, unfortunately, I reverted it as we base it from the constitution of Nepal as seen here [2], the constitution is where we base it from. And also, the version you used to edit has minor corrections like the "9" in the Nepali text that was vandalized before. PyroFloe (talk) 15:24, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeti Dai, The Constitution of Nepal says that all works made by the government are copyrighted which means that they are not allowed to be uploaded to Commons. But they can be uploaded as fair use in English Wikipedia. Also, If the work was made before 1970 they can be uploaded here with the Template:PD-Nepal tag.
