Schooner
[edit]Hey there. I'm not certain what definition you're referring to, but even the manufacturer of Koru calls it a three-masted schooner. Why do you believe otherwise? — Huntster (t @ c) 14:15, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Huntster, please have a look to Category:Schooners: A schooner is a sailing craft with two or more fore-and-aft (not squared rigged) masts and a foremast that is shorter than the other masts. These images show no foremast that is shorter than the other masts! The definition between the manufacturer and Wikipedia is different, but our job is the credibility of Wikipedia. --Ein Dahmer (talk) 17:08, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's an incorrect definition, then. They often have shorter foremasts, but that is by no means a rule. Even en.wiki only mentions it "generally" being shorter, and only applying to two-masted ships. Oxford uses the term "typically". Descriptions on Commons should not be taken as gospel since they are usually unsourced. — Huntster (t @ c) 17:39, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
