About the closeup of the coat on the throne of Don Rifan

[edit]

I've done a closeup of the coat on the throne of Don Rifan, taking a small part of the throne as well, you can see the picture and if I do want a closeup lowest unfortunately a resolution better than this is not possible. The image is here. Kaiser Guilherme II (talk) 13:16, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cassock request

[edit]

Sorry for the late reply, I've been quite busy with exams and looked over your comment. I assume it is a variant of File:Cassock (Anglican Bishop).svg]. Lemmens, Tom (talk) 13:11, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's quite possible too, the colours might vary a bit in the photograph. I'll see if I can find out more about it. If he's allowed to wear the cassock of a bishop, it might also be so that he was wearing a choir dress, and removed his rochet and mozetta. Lemmens, Tom (talk) 08:57, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, a quick Google search gave some results. While it is not sourced, a comment on this blog says: The Ordinary is entitled to wear the purple cassock on account of his juridiction. He is now entitled to wear it because of his rank, also. The Prelates of Honour may also make use of the purple cassock as choir dress alone, on certain occasions. Other comments seem to agree with this. Lemmens, Tom (talk) 09:05, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Requests

[edit]

Hola Spongie555

(Online translation: Hello Spongie555. I will gladly make the shields that you request, but I need better quality images. Various details catch my attention on the coat of Baraga, such as ribbon and the slogan are up and not down as usual, the shield is divided into three sections all green, all internal elements are are white, although it is heraldic, looks very monotonous that all divisions are green and all its elements are white.) --SajoR (talk) 01:51, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(Online translation: This is the first made shield, tell me that it seems you, that details must be improved.)

Hola Spongie555

(For the monochromatic representation of the shields (prints, sculpture, etc.) the colors are represented by conventional scratched.)

(Online translation: I have almost finished the coat of Baraga, just need to determine the colors. To find out for sure looked new images of the shield and found these: [8], [9], [10], [11].

I think the shield is not really green, in addition, according to new images, the shield has a purple stripe that divides the shield. To find out for sure, I suggest that you please contact the Diocese of Marquette, and request a color image or the official description of the shield. I found two books on the Bishop Baraga, possibly say something about the shield, but are in Slovenian [12], [13], [14]. ) --SajoR (talk) 02:59, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(Online translation: Look, so this being the shield of Baraga [16]. The only thing sure is that the shield is divided by a fringe purple and I think that the coat of arms is white, just need to define the color of the internal parts, hearts are possibly red. The Diocese of Marquette answered?.) --SajoR (talk) 22:07, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(Online translation: Glad you sent an image of the shield, curious what the galero, is that before 1902 the ecclesiastical heraldry was a little messy, it was Pope Pius X who in that year definitely regulated. Please upload the image and send me your address, I'll be pending.). --SajoR (talk) 20:19, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
