gabriestat:

actually kinda awkward to reach that stage of life where you don’t really have a group of friends but rather individual friends that are all over the map and with different schedules so people just assume you’re somewhat friendless. and in a way you kinda are but also life just keeps happening so really what is there to do

Daou is saying it’s 2025 and it’s time to stop this bullshit

Even a whole Thai tweet was made about this.

Here’s the English translation of the Thai text:

Daou Pittaya stands up to defend himself after being scrutinized for his sexual preference: “What happens in bed is personal, no one has the right to judge.”

Daou-Pittaya Saechua, an artist and actor from OPEN LABEL, has become another important voice on social media after clearly stating his position to respond to the wave of criticism regarding his sexual preference and expression in the recent past.

The issue began with some messages on social media mentioning Daou’s coming out and also questioning his sexual preference, asking if it was appropriate. Tahu responded simply but sharply, “Whoever is the right person is fine, what’s the harm?”

Not only that, he also wrote an additional message to explain directly why others should not be judged based on their outward appearance:

“Yes, it’s not harmful at all. But some people’s sexual preference and outward image are not something they want anyone to judge. Sexual preference and what happens in bed are personal matters, and they have the right to choose. And because it’s personal, no one needs to know better than they do themselves, because we are not the ones who will be having sex with them.”

Daou’s straightforward stance has received much praise from many fans. Many expressed their gratitude that he dared to stand firm to protect himself and also reflected an understanding of sexual diversity that still needs to be discussed in Thai society.

His message this time not only reflects the position of one artist but has also become a voice for many who have faced judgment from the outside, especially in matters that should truly be each individual’s private space.
