On April 8 we celebrate the death of Margaret Thatcher, and remember all the lives she destroyed.
I’m an atheist, but I almost wish there WAS a hell so I’d know she and Ronal Reagan were there, perpetually snatching the last glass of milk from each other until the end of time.
I’ve been trying to export my blog, and it’s been stuck on “Backup processing” for a few days now. Should it be taking this long? There doesn’t seem to be any way to pause or interrupt it.
April 8th- International Romani Day
Today, April 8th, is International Romani Day !
April 8th, specifically, is dedicated to drawing attention and participating in the celebration, well-regard, and remembrance of the Romani people, their histories, their strengths, their continued perseverance, as well as supporting the many Romani communities!
Today is, plainly, dedicated to remembering, respecting, and understanding the continued resilience and strength of the Romani people, honoring their rich histories and cultures, as well as paying honor and tribute to the strength of those who have overcome all genocides, enslavement, continued injustice, and calling for the rights and regards of Romani peoples to be observed and respected.
Opre Roma! Lots of love and regard to my Roma friends, mutuals, followers, and all beyond. 💙❤💚
Life on the swamp.
New Orleans, LA.
When I was in Grade 3 we did a geography/culture unit on India, Thailand, and Mongolia, and we had to do a creative project for each one. I wrote a story about a little girl in India and painted a picture that was supposed to look like an ancient Mongolian horse and rider, but I saved the 3D project for Thailand because I’d always been fascinated by houses on stilts ever since seeing a movie about the Louisiana bayou. I still think they’re beautiful.
(We also cooked and ate Thai millet in the classroom. I can still remember the texture and flavor.)
