TO CLARIFY: The 988 lifeline is STILL able to be used! I feel that this post can be very easily misinterpreted. Like, this is so misleading. What happened is that DOGE cut staff who work for this lifeline as well as one that’s specifically dedicated to veterans. Is this evil as fuck? Yes, absolutely, especially since this lifeline has had literally MILLIONS of callers as of 2024. Can you still use the 988 number in the US? YES, and if you ever feel the need to use it, please do. since it’s a scary time to be trans: refuge restrooms is an app which maps gender-neutral/single-stall restrooms. it’s community-mapped, so it’s possible you might be the first person to log the restroom locations, but hopefully it’ll help some people.
