Hey I’m CT. I’m an occultist. I study magic, mysticism, esoterica, cults, conspiracy theories, and con-artists, and I post about it here.

The more I learn about shit like economics the more I realize that I have no excuse for bad writing. I have no excuse! None of us do! I am reading papers about how the rights to taxation among French nobles related to the development of bonds and equities in the early modern period, and somehow it has the drama of a biblical martyrdom. Anything can be riveting! I have no excuse!

being a hater and being a troll are different but idk how to articulate the difference

cryptotheism

Trolling inherently involves another person. A troll is trying to waste your time and/or generate a reaction. It is entirely cynical.

Hating can be done in private, even monasticslly. But hating at a person is an invitation to banter. The goal is to hit that perfect funny/cutting/true sweet spot, and it's fun if the target of your hating can return with an equally funny/cutting/true comeback.

Rumors going around that the Daily Wire has hired a bankruptcy lawyer. Makes sense. Right Wing Media ecosystem has been drowning in Shapiro copycats for a while.

If I had to make a precaution, you're gonna see individual people like Asmongold have a temporary golden age at the top of the algorithm before they're also drowned by copycats, and have to say increasingly cringe ragebait shit to stay relevant.

Gotta say. Makes me real happy to see guys like Steven Crowder just collapse without billionaire funding, while left-leaning equivalents keep on trucking as independent journalists/pundits.

got inspired during @cryptotheism 's daemon creation stream and this guy Formed in my Headzone! i hadn't really thought of its meaning while creating it, but i think i can ascribe some to it now

Creation: A cube body with a placeholder checkerboard texture, an origin point atop a pole, with elements of a utah teapot. These default elements represent beginnings: a new blender file, an untitled document, a blank canvas, a block of marble.

Perception/Perspective: Three eyes in red, green, and blue, with different pupils and emotions. Represents the varied feelings and views that go into creation, and how, like red, green, and blue, form a complete image when put together.

um uhh im not sure what the legs mean. i imagine it leans on the third leg to rest
