Appearance vs reality art

"There's no art/To find the mind's construction in the face" Duncan (Act 1 Scene 4) Construction of the mind is shakespeare's way of describing the frame of mind or disposition, and based on this characters are judged as good or evil. This quotation said by Duncan brings up the theme of appearance vs. reality, or deception within Macbeth, and also is a sort of ironic foreshadowing as Duncan is later killed through a deception.

"Fair is foul and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air" (1.1.11-12). The importance of this quote is that it sets us up for the doubleness of the play and states that what is fair to the witches is foul to man. It means that good things come from bad and bad things come from good.

I have been a fan of Escher's work since I was young. His ability to create illusion, to portray surreal pictures, have always fascinated me. I own this drawing. .This piece is very different, but still inspirational in the fact that having something missing of the woman but then through her face showing how she really feels, like a fear inside her head. This has given me an idea to use my text and word this way, where the missing part of the person is the words come out to say how that person is really feeling. #hiddenthoughts:
