Michaela Shoebridge on Instagram: "I bought these huge olive trees last year but didn’t like the planters so decided to create my own 💪🏼 As we are looking to plant the trees into borders this year, we left them in their original pots and simply placed them into these diy planters to hide the black plastic. You could easily add a base and line them if you wanted a more permanent solution. Firstly, we created cube style frame out of some scrap wood, we used CLS timber 38x63x2400mm from @bandq_uk -For 50cmX50cm boxes, you will need: Frame: 4x 50cm timber pieces -4x 42,4cm timber pieces -4x 37.4cm timber pieces We then painted the frame in @osmo_uk country colour oil in charcoal We cut & attached timber slats around the base frame with a nail gun. We used rough sawn treated timber 22x38x Timber Planter Boxes, Huge Planters, Timber Slats, Treated Timber, Olive Trees, Diy Planters, Olive Tree, Scrap Wood, Planter Boxes

By now I’ve read many a post reviewing last week’s 2012 NWFG Show in Seattle, the display gardens in particular. Some loved them, some did not. A common theme to emerge however is the dislike of the theatrical garden lighting, it’s like the show organizers feel the craftsmanship of the gardens can’t hold up to the light of day.
