I never used to stabilise and would always ended up with a stretched neckline. 😡 . Trust me when I say it’s SO worth the extra time it takes to trace, cut and sew. . You can buy tear away stabiliser or vilene at most fabric and quilting shops. . Joanne Sunny K on Instagram: "Fixing a stretched out and loose neck on my vintage tee⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Full instructions:⁣⁣⁣ 1. Take off neck ribbing from body. Save any neck binding with it too. ⁣ 2. Measure the neck and remove excess plus 1” or so (depends on how stretchy your ribbing is. May need to play around with this). ⁣ 3. Overlock neck ribbing side seams⁣ 4. Pin onto neckline (the ribbing should be smaller). Stretch evenly and overlock. I attached my neck binding at this step too⁣ 5. Topstitch down back neck binding and press⁣ ⁣ Now your tee is back to looking good. Hope this helps! ⁣ ⁣ I love to fix, repair, mend, upcycle my vintage before tossing it.
