Dahlia • Vintage Fashion & Beauty on Instagram: "1940s half-up hairstyle 🤎 I like the asymmetrical look of this #vintagehairstyle and the fact that it keeps your hair out of your face.

Thank you @laurenrennells for the inspiration to try this #1940shair look. Rather than a swoop on one side I did a few victory rolls instead because why not? 🙂

How to, part 1
1. Section out the front section of hair (where your bangs would be) and clip the rest out of the way. We curl this section first so it has the longest time for curls to set.
2. Curl the front section using a 1-inch wand, curling up toward your crown and away from your face. Clip curls into place with double prong curl clips.
3. Repeat until all of your hair has been curled and clipped.
4. Allow curls to cool. I usually use this ti Forties Hairstyles 1940s Hair, How To Bouffant Hair, 40s Curl Pattern, 1940s Hairstyles Victory Rolls, 1940s Half Up Half Down Hair, 1940s Updo Tutorial, 1940s Roller Set Pattern, Long 1940s Hair, 1940s Bangs

Olive🏹 on Instagram: "1970s hair curler tutorial 💌

(I am not a professional by any means lol)

Tips:
I would recommend using a setting lotion and wetting your hair more🧴

Then let your hair dry completely before you take them out, then brush the curls out and use hairspray to keep them in shape.

You can add more curlers and more layers of your hair is thick like mine, just section the hair in smaller pieces.

The bottom layer of hair is the only section that needs to be curlers upward.

This hairstyle will work even if you don't have bangs. Having bangs just makes tighter curls in the front, especially if you use the foam rollers (Like my hair)
