Split complementary drawing

I worked on a larger scale today and drew this cup of coffee as a thank you to a friend of mine here at work.

In this picture there is red, green, yellow, and blue. Red and green are complementary. Blue and orange are complementary.

This is a split complementary colour relationship. All colours appear quite dull and nothing really stands out, the green-yellow "sun" is the brightest of them all and overall colour relationship is quite subtle and "relaxing"

Again, there is not one colour in this colour scheme that is leaning, they are all equal when put together. The colour at the front allows the colours at the back to have harmony and balance regarding contrast and saturation
