Straddle Press Progressions✨
Try out these progressions/drills to nail your straddle press handstand☀️ All of these will work on the muscles needed to active your press! Level 1: Jump to straddle Level 2: jump to straddle and slow controlled lower down (press into your fingertips and shoulders) Level 3: slow controlled lower down and back up - try this a couple of times without actually touching the floor Level 4: slow lower down to TAP, and then back up - most of the weight is in your hands Level 5: straddle press Save Shop now!

Omg 😳 the very first time I tried this movement I had the most serious release in my spine (I’m going to share in stories because you can literally hear it) and it felt ahhmazing! I love this exercise because not only does it focus on relieveing tension in the lower back and spine but the shoulders, hips and inner thighs as well. @thekelseyrose_ in @aloyoga HOW TO PERFORM THE MOVEMENT: + start laying on your stomach + bring one knee as close as you can to hip height but still connected to the ground + place your hands slightly in front of both shoulders and extend the arms + the same side of the leg that is forward, cross your arm through (thread the needle) for a spinal twist Repeat 4-5x per side and VIOLA!! A much more lengthened and open lower back and spine. Follow us now!
