From a series of close-up Australian wildflower photographs, this Geraldton Wax was photographed at Stokes Bay Bush Garden, Kangaroo Island, South Australia in 2010. Chamelaucium uncinatum, Geraldton Wax (white form) are members of the Myrtaceae family. Found in south Western Australia. Usually a medium to large shrub, 2-3 metres high. The flowers appear in late winter to summer, and are 15 to 20 mm in diameter. Flower colours range from white through to purple/red.
