2021 Science Buddies Engineering Challenge- Build the Tallest Paper Tower

My students had 10 minutes to plan how they were going to build free-standing structures with paper only. Then each group received 15 sheets of paper and worked collaboratively to build their towers. :)

STEM Challenge for elementary students! Your kids will love this one. You will love this one, too because of 5 simple things! It uses only one material. Preparation is super easy. It works for all ages. It's highly engaging because it's so competitive. Clean up is super simple. It's a perfect STEM Challenge for any time of year and the resource has a bonus challenge included! This is one you will try and then repeat year after year! Editable lab sheets and rubric included.

Bucket Tower. It even sounds silly. I never dreamed when we invented this challenge that it would become so popular. Except for Building Boats and Roller Coasters, this is the challenge that I get the most questions about. I promise this is what happened: I had a class prepared for a tower building challenge.

STEM Challenge- students use a main building materials in a quantity of only 12. Using only 12 index cards students must build the tallest tower possible.
