In English folklore, mushroom rings were known as fairy or pixie rings. These were caused by the wee folks dancing in a circle. As they wore down the grass, they left a circular pattern of basidia (a type of mushroom) behind. Under the Lily Pads

The lakes of the Adirondacks were loaded with water lilies, something I am not use to paddling around. I tried for a different perspective by shooting underwater up through the lily pads as the sun rays shined through. ----- July 29th to August 2nd, my brother and I kayaked the first map of the the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Old Forge to Long Lake in the Adirondacks of New York.
