Nuts are high antioxidant foods as well as sources of healthy fats and minerals. Pecans have on average 8.5 mmol antioxidants/100g. This number includes the pellicle—the papery skin layer surrounding the meat of the nut that’s present when we eat raw pecans. 🌰

Ingredients: 
- 12-16 medjool dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup hulled tahini
- 1/4 cup butter (to melt with tahini)
- 3/4 cup pecans, roasted (see below)
- 125g dark chocolate
- Flaky sea salt to top

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Add pecans to a lined tray.
3. Roast for 8-12 minutes, tossing halfway. Be careful not to burn!

Either way, what you’ll need is below. This recipe is a collaboration with @thesourcebulkfoods , my fav waste-free bulk store. I always stock up on all the ingredients in these bars, they’re some of our most used ingredients and we love that the packaging can be home composted (better yet, pop into a store near you and get NO packaging).
