Totoro pumpkin

the result of about one and a half hours of work. pretty happy with it! i need to get a smaller candle though. his eyeballs are held in place by toothpicks, which are more visible than i hoped they would be, but that's okay. i had wanted to try the "scrape" method on his eyes (where you remove part of the surface but don't go all the way through), but i didn't have the right tools for that.

I couldn't find a pumpkin, then I found one that was the perfect shape and size! I've not carved a pumpkin in this way before, just taking the skin off in places, but I think it turned out good! I had to remove his cardboard ears before lighting him just to be safe! XD" It was tough to photograph him cos the candle kept going out! ^^" I made Pumpkin and Tomato soup from what i scraped out the middle, oishikatta yo! X3
