n First, I started out the year using a variety of sentence frames that the kids could choose from, such as: I like the_______., Here is a _______., This is the _______., etc. I ran my paper double sided with lines on it , so my Firsties could focus on proper penmanship as well. Starting in October, I took away the sentence frames, unless they still REALLY needed them, and had my kids work on writing describing sentences about each picture, the juicier (meaning a juicy describing  sentence) t...
