Introduction
The „Emulation B -> M“ makes the B balance line (PB, SB) compatible with the M and J series. „B -> M“ emulates the menu, functions
and the interface of the M and J balances on the B balances. This emulation facilitates integration of the B balances in existing systems
which interchange data with a host computer or which are controlled by a computer as the existing programs do not have to be
modified. The „B -> M“ software is accommodated on an EPROM.

board).

Installation and settings

– For balances with a LocalCAN interface, you need the set 21301729. Replace the OTPROM on the option board by the OTPROM
supplied.
– For balances with an RS232C interface, you need the set 21301730. Replace the EPROM on the balance board by the EPROM
supplied.
For the setting of the interface parameters, please consult the installation information „Emulation R/G -> M“. For the menu settings, see
page 18: The „Emulation R/G -> M“ on G-S balances.
Important: With the B balance, the CAL function appears before entry into the menu.

Einleitung
Die “Emulation B –> M” macht die B-Waagenlinie (PB, SB) kompatibel zu der M- und J Baureihe. “B –> M” emuliert auf den B-Waagen
das Menü, die Funktionen und die Schnittstelle der M- und J-Waagen. Diese Emulation erleichtert die Integration der B-Waagen in
bestehende Systeme, die Daten mit einem Host-Rechner austauschen, bzw. von einem Rechner gesteuert werden, da die bestehenden
Programme nicht abgeändert werden müssen. Die “B –> M”-Software ist in einem EPROM untergebracht.

Installation und Einstellungen

– Für Waagen mit LocalCAN-Schnittstelle benötigen Sie das Set 21301729. Ersetzen Sie das OTPROM auf dem Optionsprint durch
das mitgelieferte OTPROM.
– Für Waagen mit RS232C-Schnittstelle benötigen Sie das Set 21301730. Ersetzen Sie das EPROM auf der Waagenplatine durch
das mitgelieferte EPROM.
Die Einstellung der Schnittstellenparameter entnehmen Sie der Installationsanleitung “Emulation R/G –> M”. Menüeinstellung siehe
Seite 18: "Die "Emulation R/G -> M" auf G-S Waagen.
Wichtig: Bei der B-Waage erscheint die CAL-Funktion vor dem Einstieg ins Menu.

Introduction
L’“Emulation B —> M“ rend la ligne de balances B (PB, SB) compatible avec la série M et J. „B —> M“ émule sur les balances B, le
menu, les fonctions et l’interface des balances M et J. Cette émulation facilite l’intégration des balances B dans les systèmes existants,
l’échange de données avec un ordinateur hôte, ou leur commande par un ordinateur, étant donné que les programmes existants n’ont
pas besoin d’être modifiés. Le logiciel „B —> M“ est logé dans une EPROM.

Installation et réglages
- Pour les balances avec interface LocalCAN, vous avez besoin du kit 21301729. Remplacez l’OTPROM sur la carte d’option par
l’OTPROM fournie.
- Pour les balances avec interface RS232C, vous avez besoin du kit 21301730. Remplacez l’OTPROM sur la carte de balance par
l’EPROM fournie.
Le réglage des paramètres d’interface est indiqué dans la notice d’installation «Emulation R/G —> M». Pour les réglages de menu, voir
la page 18 «L’Emulation R/G —> M» sur les balances G-S.
Important : Sur la balance B, la fonction CAL apparaît avant l’entrée dans le menu.
