Hi, I’m TJ. I’ve been at this Tumblr RP thing since July 2013. I’ve been a fanfic writer since early 2001. My fics are on AO3 if you’re interested; there’s a lot of YamaSai and other m/m pairings, some of it NSFW, so be forewarned. I try to keep most things on this RP blog IC or at least related to RP and Anko; my personal blog is here and contains lots of reblogged Naruto with other fandoms peppered in, other bits of randomness and the occasional flash of thought or fandom discussion. My other muse is Sai.
My timezone is GMT -9 from November-March and GMT -8 from March-November. If you’re east coast US I’m four hours behind you. I monitor my dash throughout the day on mobile and am rarely blogging from a ‘real’ computer. I rarely have the opportunity to use icons. In general, I RP quite slowly. Once in a very great while I’ll manage to ‘boomerang’ a thread, to log two or three replies on a thread at one go even, but most times if I get a reply back to you within a week I’m doing well. I have a husband, two kids, a full time job, a life—this is my hobby on the side. I enjoy it, but if you’re looking to RP in real-time I am bound to disappoint.
Anko. Anko is my third favorite character in the Naruto series. I started RPing with her mostly to pay her more attention and flesh her out in my head. If you’re looking for crazy-kinky-psycho-Anko you’ll probably want to look elsewhere. I try very hard to find the character underneath the caricature and engage all facets of her personality.
By default Anko is 28 and set generically during-Shippuden as far as timelines go. If you want to do something at a specific point in/after canon or any kind of AU, feel free to speak up; I’m willing to play her at any age and am open to AU ideas. I am well over 18 and am perfectly willing to RP smut, NSFW, violence, fluff, crack, canon, AU, whatever. My muse will not participate in any sort of NCS from either side, however. I’m perfectly willing to interact with OCs and crossover characters as well to see what develops.
I multi-ship and will not go ‘exclusive’. I juggle multiple ‘verses separately with ease and cross-polinate related same-verse threads between muses (yours, mine, third party, whatever) as appropriate. Please note that shipping does not have to involve smut if you don’t want it to; the two are not mutually inclusive.
Shipping. I love shipping. But Anko is full of Issues and is not inclined to engage in long-term sexual or romantic relationships, so if you want to ship with her you’ll have your work cut out for you. Generally speaking, by the time she hits adulthood she’s not keen on sleeping with anyone whose respect/friendship she cares about losing and it will take a lot of work to convince her otherwise. She does not perceive herself as ‘relationship material’. She is pansexual and perfectly willing to hook up once or twice with strangers and people who are not friends/comrades/co-workers/close to her, but any muse looking to start a relationship that way will probably be disappointed.
Yamato, however, is kind of the exception to all her rules. My headcanon: They’ve been BFF since post-Orochimaru and have probably slept together in the past, a friends-with-benefits kind of thing that Anko eventually called off for fear of fucking up the friendship irrevocably. He has the best chance of getting through her defenses for a genuine ship, but even so she’s going to be fighting him (and herself) most of the way.
Genma and Sai probably have the best chances after Yamato—she’s always found Genma easy to talk to/get along with and Sai kind of brings out her Big Sister Mode, either of which could Go Places with enough persistence. All the same anyone is welcome to take a shot at getting behind her walls, and anyone who wants to interact with Anko at all in any capacity should feel free to come engage her and see what kind of rapport develops.
