On Art Journal Journey this month the theme from Erika is Spring Birds. I found a little bird, and you can see it's spring when the little girl is playing outdoors. The flowers are blooming, also here. It's a wonderful time.

Here is my house quilt made for the Norwegian Quilt Association's exhibition last weekend. My friend Margun and I made twin quilts, as we have done for years for this exhibition. The quilts are made partly together here or at her place, with some envelopes of fabric going between us during the year. So fun to see them together finished. My quilt is quilted by Sølvi Quiltestudio.

A while ago I made this book cover inspired by Vincent van Gogh. It has been a secret project, but now I can show you. On the front side I have put "'Starry night" and on the back side it's "Sunflowers". I used old denim scraps and other small pieced from my scrap bag. The inside is also hand quilted, as you can see.
I made a little snowman yesterday. He's struggling with the higher temperatures today. Hopefully he will be the last snowman here this winter.

Follow your arrow, that's the challenge this week from Kim and Trish on Persimon Dreams. And as I have so little time this week too, I had to make a new pincushion. I think this will be the year of pincushions and miniature cushions for the challenge. But I love pincushions, so here it is.

It's challenge week again from Persimon Dreams, and I had totally forgot it. After reading the challenge I had to find out what a birthstone is. And I found that my birthstone is this one.
And as I had just a few hours to finish a project, I made another miniature cushion. And it really looked like the birthstone. So I'm happy to say that I finished the challenge again. Two more to go.

I was so inspired of the music theme from Vicki on Art Journal Journey that I had to make another journal page. You can say that it gave me a "Magic moment".

It's been a long time since I made an art journal page. This month the theme from Art Journal Journey is music. And as I love all kind of music, I had to make a page. And there may be more pages before the month is over.

Common blocks, three different of them, was the challenge this week from Persimon Dreams. Just now I'm making miniatures, and I took my box of small scraps, cut out 1" stripes and was ready to start. I couldn't come up with something else than miniature cushions. I made three of them and used nine-patch, monkey wrench and courthouse step blocks. The cushions are a little bit smaller than 2". A fun challenge, thank you Kim and Trish. As you can see, spring is near.

Ombre is this week's theme for the challenge from Persimon Dreams. I immediately thought about these hot pads. I've done them in different colours before, but never like this, from light to dark. So fun to dig in my bag with blue scraps to find all these treasures. The quilt is 7"x11".

A couple of weeks ago Bonnie Hunter posted the reveal, and I've started to join the smaller pieces to make blocks. I have planned to finish a baby quilt from these blocks, hopefully during April. I just have to cut and sew some more small pieces.
