Luqaimat is a deep-fried dough that is then dipped into the sugar syrup and served by adding some nuts, sesame seeds over it. It is a local traditional dish of the whole UAE. This word LUQAIMAT is not actually the name of the dish. The actual name of the dish is the Arabic word, Luqmat-al-Qadi.

NOTES It is a little difficult to get the perfect round shaped luqaimat. I didn’t master that skill yet. But whatever the shape, it tastes superb. The sugar syrup should be at room temperature while adding the fried luqaimat into it. The consistency of the batter is very important. Make sure that it is not very loose or very thick.
