I am a Southern California mosaic artist and teacher who teaches my technique of creating contemporary mosaic surfboards. Bored Panda is a leading art and pop culture magazine which is viewed nearly 100 million times every month. Our mission is to spread good news and highlight top artists from around the world.

It took an accepted design for a charity event for me to begin creating mosaic art on surfboards and I discovered that I really love the challenge. In this piece named “Marina”, I again used mostly mirror and stained glass to create my interpretation of a mermaid among the waves. The inspiration came from an old Irish folk tale about “Marina the Merrow”.
