This is a machine-pieced and quilted, twin-size star quilt. The backing is a dark blue mottled print. The quilt measures 80” x 87”. The Star is made of orange, white, and blue solids and Denver print. The background is orange with orange and blue borders. (Cindy Dockerty) I started out with 8 inch squares. Place right sides together and stitch around the entire edge of block using 1/4 inch Seam. Cut the sewn block on the diagonal. Press Seam. Place two of the 1/2 square triangles together . Draw a line on the diagonal. Stitch 1/4 inch from that line. Cut on your drawn line . Press open. Using a 6.5 inch square ruler place the diagonal line of the ruler one top of the diagonal line on your block. Make sure you are accurate. Trim. Perfect points.
