Howdy This is an update to my first Parachute Play post. That post was a full program based around the parachute; it also included some stories. This post will be songs and rhymes that I have been using lately at the end of a traditional preschool storytime for children ages 3-5 years old and their grownup. I use this to either prep so and mi or prep la. It’s also great for quarter notes and eighth notes OR to have a discussion about tempo. As we learn this song, I like to have the students move around the room like a slow snail. Then I will ask them what other slow animals there are? We’ll act those out too, and before you know it - the kids are writing their own lyrics.
